Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it last?

The course runs  Monday to Friday until the learner has completed their individual learning programme. The day starts at 09:00 and finishes at 16:30.

Please note that this is NOT  a residential course - learners will only be at the College during the daytime and will return home at the end of each day.

Will I wear a uniform?

Yes. Your supplied training kit is made up of a sweatshirt, polo shirt, 2 t-shirts and 2 pairs of shorts, which costs £47.50. You will need to supply your own trousers - please speak to your local College about this.

Do I get paid?

Please contact your local College to discuss payment arrangements.

Will my travel get paid?

You only contribute £5 towards your weekly travel expenses. The remainder of your travel will be reimbursed each week.

What will I do on the course?

The course allows learners to develop the vocational skills to enable them to make the right career choices, whatever route they might choose. Transferable employability skills, teamwork, academic ability, physical fitness and self-confidence are all vital elements of the programme.
